Use of Funds: Funds will provide avalanche education materials and instruction for 5th - 12th grade students, as well as the general community.

Mission Statement: To financially support the Flathead Avalanche Center and save lives through avalanche education.

Project Detail:

Funds will provide avalanche education materials and instruction for 5th – 12th grade students, as well as the general community, in Whitefish and around the Flathead Valley. Youth and adult programming will be provided by the FOFAC Education Coordinator who will teach courses as well as arrange guest speakers for community avalanche education classes in Whitefish, and throughout the Flathead Valley. Funds will also support the Northwest Avalanche Safety Workshop. This program brings world renowned avalanche experts to Whitefish each fall to present to an audience of 300 attendees.
