Farm Hands/Nourish The Flathead

Use of Funds: Our Food For All Project is a comprehensive effort to bring local, nutritious, healthy food to all valley residents.

Mission Statement: Farm Hands - Nourish the Flathead works to promote sustainable agriculture and increased access to locally grown food for every member of our community regardless of income and age. Our three main program areas address healthy food access, farmland conservation and food and farming education.

Project Detail:

Our Food For All Projects connect people to local food especially targeting those who can not afford it. Funds will be used for  Senior Coupons, Senior Meals, SNAP 2, Elementary school coupons and the Blackfeet-NourishProject address this population.  Our Elementary school coupons encourage fresh ,local, food purchases, Senior meals  provide 70 hot, local meals weekly during the market season to North Valley Foodbank seniors. Each year in April we bring together 70-100 youth for Global youth Service Day and engage in nutrition and food system issues in the Flathead, they learn how volunteering  makes an impact in our community.
