A CHARITABLE GIVING CAMPAIGN JULY 25 – September 13, 2019 BENEFITING 53 LOCAL NONPROFITS
OVER $25,000 WILL BE AWARDED THROUGH INCENTIVE GRANTS DURING THE 2019 CHALLENGE
The following Incentive Grants will be awarded during the Challenge:
$2,000Great FishLaunch Event: $2,000 will be awarded in small matching grants at the July 25th Launch event at First Interstate Bank from 5 to 7 p.m. Make a donation to any nonprofit(s) through the Challenge on the 25th and you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a match on your gift. Increments of $25, $50, and $100 will be awarded throughout the evening.
Six $500 Grants: Each week, an Incentive Grant of $500 will be awarded to the nonprofit with the most unique donors calculated from Friday to Thursday of that week. Nonprofits are eligible to win this only once. Winners will be elegible for the Biggest Catch Award.
$1,000Poetry Slam Contest: $1,000 will be awarded for the winning poetry slam about the Great Fish Community Challenge. Winner selects the nonprofit to receive the award. The Poetry Slam must be performed at the Great Fish Color Run and Community Celebration September 7.
$500 T-Shirt Design Contest: The winner of the t-shirt design contest for the Great Fish Color Run will select the nonprofit to receive a $500 award.
$500 Best Booth Award: $500 will be awarded to the nonprofit with the best decorated and themed booth at the Great Fish Color Run and Community Celebration September 7. Second place will receive $250.
$500 Nonprofit Runner Grant will be awarded to the nonprofit that has the most runners in the Color Run.
$250 Top male and female runners in the Competitive Division of the Great Fish Community Challenge Color Run will receive $250 to the nonprofit of their choice.
$2,000Great Fish Color Run and Community Celebration: $2,000 will be awarded in small matching grants at the September 7th Color Run Event from 9a.m. to 1 p.m. Donate to a nonprofit at the event and you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a match on your gift. Increments of $25, $50, and $100 will be awarded throughout the day.
Biggest Catch Award: Nonprofit that has the most unique donors throughout the entire campaign will win $2,500.
Corporate Citizenship Award: This award will be presented to a business promoting and supporting employee giving during the Challenge. Winner will designate $2,500 to the nonprofit of their choice.
Great Fish Award: New this year, the Great Fish Award will come with a $7,500 Grant. The Award will go to a nonprofit that does the best selling their organization, telling their story, promoting the Challenge, cross pollinating with other nonprofits, and the best participation throughout the Challenge!
The Following Awards are selected by the Whitefish Community Foundation Grants Committee and Board of Directors based on their nonprofit program work, the impact on our commumity, and participation in the Great Fish Community Challenge.
Doris Schumm Community Spirit Award: $2,500
Russ and Mary Jane Street Community Service Award: $2,500
Each week, one nonprofit will win a $500 incentive grant for having the most donors that week giving. The incentive period will run from Friday to Thursday ending at 4 p.m., each week during the campaign. Our business sponsors will present a check to the winning nonprofit.
