2014 Annual Community Grant Awards Presentation
Join us Thursday, November 6th at the O’Shaughnessy

The Whitefish Community Foundation’s Community Impact Committee has been hard at work this summer reviewing grant applications. On May 31st, the Foundation received 86 applications requesting close to $400,000. Since then, the Community Impact Committee has been conducting site visits to nonprofits to learn more about the organizations and the project or program for which they have requested funds. The eight member committee has met several times over the summer to discuss and prioritize each grant application. Funding awards for the Community Grants Program has increased by an average of 20% each year since its inception in 2000.

Each year, the Community Foundation recognizes two nonprofit organizations and presents them with a special award – the Great Fish Award and the Doris Schumm Community Spirit Award. This year, a third award will be added. The Russ and Mary Jane Street Community Service Award will recognize the contribution a nonprofit has made in the community. All three awards come with an additional $1,000 grant.

The annual Community Grant Awards Presentation is always an exciting event for the Whitefish Community Foundation. It is the time when we get to meet our hard working nonprofits and thank them for the work that they do. The public is welcome to attend. Mark your calendars for Thursday, November 6th and join us at the O’Shaughnessy Cultural Arts Center at 7 PM.
