Events
The Community Foundation hosts several events
each year to raise awareness and funding for the many programs
offered by the Foundation.
ANNUAL
AWARDS EVENT
The Annual Awards Event is held the first week in November at
the O’Shaughnessy Cultural Arts
Center. This is when the grant awards from the Community Grants
Fund are announced as well as
many grants from the Foundations Family of Giving Funds.
ANNUAL
NONPROFIT WORKSHOP
The Annual Nonprofit Workshop hosted by the Community Foundation
benefits local nonprofits with
all areas of operation including Board development, governance,
grant writing, and much more.
National trainers and speakers are contracted to offer professional
and educational workshops. Held
in April of each year, the cost of attending a workshop is kept
very reasonable as the Community
Foundation underwrites most of it. Click here to register for

WHITEFISH
DUCK DERBY
The Whitefish Duck Derby was started in 2009 as a way to raise
money for the Community Grants
Fund. The Fundraiser has turned into a great success, raising
over $60,000 to benefit our local
nonprofits organizations with their programs. Click here to

SUMMER
ART SOCIAL
The Summer Art Social was originally just a social event to
thank our many donors for their gifts to
the Foundation each year. In 2009, the Foundation decided to
add a little more fun to the event by
making it an Art Social where artists are invited to paint on
location and the created works of art are
then sold to benefit the Whitefish Community Foundation and
the Iron Horse Foundation. Call the
