Community
Grant Program
The Whitefish Community Foundation Grants
Committee works diligently to respond to the ever-changing needs
of our nonprofit community. 2009 marked the creation of an Emergency
Grants Fund, which enables the Foundation to respond fairly
quickly to a request for help in an urgent, catastrophic situation.
2010 marked the creation of the Endowment Challenge Program
to help nonprofits build endowment funds to help them meet their
critical needs. In 2011 we hope to see the creation of the Major
Grants Program to help capital projects in Whitefish meet their
goals. All of these grant programs are made possible by the
growing Permanent Endowment Fund and the wonderful people in
our community who care enough to be donors to the Community
Foundation. Thank you.

Major Community Projects Grants
Whitefish Community Foundation is pleased to announce the
launch of a new grant program targeting
Major Community Projects in Whitefish: To be eligible for
funding, applicants must be tax exempt under the provisions
of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or publicly-owned
tax exempt organizations. Organizations interested in applying
for a Major Community Project grant must submit a letter of
interest to the Community Foundation by June 15, 2011.
The Foundation will determine which organizations qualify as
candidates for a Major Community Project Grant and invite them
to submit a formal application. Funding for this program comes
from interest from the Foundation's Permanent Endowment Fund
and from a private donation. For more information about submitting
a letter of interest click on the PDF document below.
